Mr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Hajri

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nebras Energy

Mr Mohammed Nasser Al-Hajri is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nebras Energy. He has more than 35 years of business, operational and leadership experience across the upstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, power generation and manufacturing industries.

Mr Al-Hajri began his career at Qatar Petroleum, now QatarEnergy, in 1991. During his tenure, he held several senior leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as Executive Vice President of the Downstream Development Directorate. He later served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Steel before joining Qatar Electricity & Water Company, which was renamed Nebras Energy in 2026.

His extensive executive and board-level roles have equipped him with expertise in strategic leadership, corporate governance, business development and operational management. He also has considerable experience in identifying and developing international investments across the power, water and renewable energy sectors, establishing strategic partnerships and supporting expansion into emerging markets.

Alongside his executive role, Mr Al-Hajri serves as Chairman of Umm Al-Houl Power, Nebras Power, Ras Abu Fontas Power Company and Jabel Power in the Sultanate of Oman. He is also a Board Member of Gulf International Services.

Mr Al-Hajri holds a master’s degree in gas engineering from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Qatar University.
