Ocean Bottle: Turning Plastic Waste into Opportunity

Through the Al-Attiyah Foundation’s partnership with Ocean Bottle, more than 19,495 kilograms—equivalent to nearly two million plastic bottles—have been prevented from entering marine environments. Guests of the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards have joined this effort, each helping to stop plastic waste at its source. The Ocean Bottle offers a practical, reusable solution with a measurable global impact. Each purchase funds the collection of 1,000 ocean-bound plastic bottles, preventing them from reaching the sea. This initiative not only helps protect marine ecosystems but also empowers coastal communities by providing collectors with fair compensation and access to essential social services, including healthcare and education.
